FUTURE-CRITICAL SKILLS

Team problem-solving is the most effective way to develop Power Skills

In complex environments with novel challenges, students practice the Power Skills needed to thrive in school, work, and life.

Our methodology

We’ve developed learning experiences
that simulate the complexity of real-world challenges
Complex challenges

Our program simulates the complex environments and novel situations our students experience in their real lives. Each challenge provides a platform to experiment, test assumptions, and adapt strategies.

Live coaching
Game Masters use structured yet open-ended questioning to guide students in their learning journey. This approach helps students plan, execute, and evaluate their strategies and thought process.
Teamwork

Students embrace their diverse abilities, utilizing individual strengths to solve problems. They learn to communicate, collaborate, and how to lead by alternating between teaching and learning roles.

"I'm so happy that we got to spend time with these amazing people from across the world. It was very stressful, but I think that it's an amazing experience, so thank you."

Simon
Olympiad Champion, Alverno Heights Academy

"While traditional sports often focus on teamwork and collaboration, this competition allows educators to reach a broader spectrum of students and foster these important skills collectively."

Gabriel Hernandez
Director of Technology, Alverno Heights Academy

"The main thing I'm proud of is how we reflected, and adapted based on our reflections."

Charlie
Finalist, Prisma Online School

“We know that skills like leadership, creativity, and decision making are never going out of fashion. In fact, as more of work involves technology, these kinds of skills only become more important. That’s why we’re so excited about what our students are learning with NXTLVL.”

Meghan Freeman
CEO, Elite Academy

"We believe these real-world skills are equally important to academic subjects. We're proud of Prisma Powerhouse for showing an international audience how well our learners collaborate, think critically, and iterate!"

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to participate as a school?

All types of schools, private and public, including virtual schools are welcome. But you don't have to participate as a school. We welcome any teams of 5, including from after-school societies, extracurricular clubs and communities, or even just join with 4 other friends to form a team of 5.

Can a team participate from a physical classroom?

Yes, you can participate in the online Olympiad matches from a physical classroom. This may even have a positive effect on team dynamics.

Our tech team will ensure that your school is well-prepared for the event.

Should all team members be from the same grade?

No, the teams can consist of students from different grades as long as they are between 8 and 11 years old.

Will someone supervise each online match?

Yes, there will be a GAME MASTER, either a teacher or a child psychologist, in each online match to ensure that the competition rules are being adhered to and to provide guidance to teams during their challenges.

Does a team need to train before the event?

Training before the event is not a prerequisite, although schools that follow our training programs are more likely to manage the challenges in the competition more effectively.

How do you define the winner?

The competition will have three phases: Level 1, Level 2, and Championship Level. In each level, leagues of four or five teams, each consisting of five members, will play several rounds in the same challenge.

Teams will be scored and ranked based on their finishing position in each round. The teams with the highest cumulative score from the individual leagues will move on to the next phase. Similarly, the team with the highest score in the final will be the winner of the Champion's Award.

Judges will also conduct a qualitative evaluation during Level 2 and Championship Level based on specific criteria we will share soon. Using this evaluation, we will award six additional Power Skills Awards for communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, resilience, and emotional intelligence.

Will there be an onboarding process for our team?

We will conduct a setup session with each participating school for their official teams to understand how a NXTLVL session operates and ensure everything is set up before the event day.

Is participation for free?

Participation is free for your first four teams and $200 per additional team.
